Here are a few of our favourite spots around Provence that we'd recommend if you're looking to explore while you're here.

Van Gogh created some of his most famous work in Arles, and this museum beautifully celebrates his connection to the city.

A stunning Michelin-starred restaurant just outside Arles, known for seasonal cooking and ingredients grown in its own gardens.
Arles
We fell in love with Arles as soon as we started planning our Wedding. Around every corner you’ll find a little piece of history, from the incredible Roman amphitheatre to cafes and squares that inspired some of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings.
It’s also home to our incredible venue, Chateau de Paon, and will be the closest city to stay in and explore over the weekend.
Here are a few of our favourite restaurants, bakeries and sights to see in and around Arles:
Gorges du Verdon
This place is beautiful! Hire a pédalo on the lake, explore the turquoise water through the canyon, and if you’re brave (like Harry), jump from the rocks into the water below.
Cap d’Antibes
Some of the most stunning coastline on the Riviera. We especially loved swimming at Billionaires Bay, and sunbathing at Plage des Ondes.
Cotignac
One of the prettiest villages in Provence, feels wonderfully relaxed and local. If you visit, make sure to book a table at Picotte — incredible food, excellent wine, and one of the loveliest terraces we found in the South of France.
Paradou
A small Provençal village that's easy to miss and all the better for it. Stay at Hameau des Baux, order the tuna tartare at Le Café Castillon, and wander to Ô Pétrin for a pain au chocolat before the day gets going.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
A classic Provençal town full of markets, cafés, boutiques, and shaded squares perfect for wandering. It’s effortlessly charming and ideal for a relaxed lunch and an afternoon glass of rosé.
Nice
Elegant, vibrant, and endlessly sunny, Nice perfectly captures the atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur. Spend the day wandering the Old Town, swimming in the sea, and eating far too much gelato along the Promenade des Anglais.
