Harry and Eve’s guide to the South of France
We’ve put together a few of the places we’ve loved most over the years — some perfect for day trips, some for lazy afternoons, and some simply for eating and drinking very well.
Gorges du Verdon
Dubbed the “Grand Canyon of Europe”, this place is beautiful! Hire a pédalo on the lake, explore the turquoise water through the canyon, and if you’re brave enough, jump from the rocks into the water below.
Cap d’Antibes
Some of the most stunning coastline on the Riviera, with crystal-clear water and beautiful walking paths around the peninsula. We especially loved swimming at Billionaires Bay and sunbathing at Plage des Ondes.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
A classic Provençal town full of markets, cafés, boutiques, and shaded squares perfect for wandering. It’s effortlessly charming and ideal for a relaxed lunch and an afternoon glass of rosé.
Nice
Elegant, vibrant, and endlessly sunny, Nice perfectly captures the atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur. Spend the day wandering the Old Town, swimming in the sea, and eating far too much gelato along the Promenade des Anglais.
Cotignac
One of the prettiest villages in Provence, feels wonderfully relaxed and local. If you visit, make sure to book a table at Picotte — incredible food, excellent wine, and one of the loveliest terraces we found in the South of France.
Arles
Arles is where Provence meets Roman history, art, and southern French culture. From ancient amphitheatres and incredible food to galleries, markets, and sunlit streets that inspired Van Gogh.
It’s also home to our incredible venue, Chateau de Paon, and will be the closest city to stay in and explore over the weekend.

Arènes d'Arles
An incredible piece of Ancient Rome right in the middle of Provence — the amphitheatre alone is worth visiting Arles for.
Inari
Small and intimate restaurant serving inspired Asian- French dishes and organic wines.
Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles
Van Gogh created some of his most famous work in Arles, and this museum beautifully celebrates his connection to the city.
La Chassagnette
A stunning Michelin-starred restaurant just outside Arles, known for seasonal cooking and ingredients grown in its own gardens.
